Blue Pure 411 wins Best of the Best “Gold” at Housewares Design Awards

Stockholm, 1 February 2018: Blueair, a world-leader in air purification solutions for home and professional use, is once again recognized for its iconic design. During the 2018 Houseware Design Awards at the Las Vegas Market, Blueair was awarded Best of the Best “Gold” for its Blue Pure 411 air purifier in the category Home Environment & Floor Care Appliances.

The Housewares Design Awards, the premier awards focused on housewares design innovation, honor design that improve everyday living.

“Sustainable design is at the heart of the Blueair product development process, explains Karin Kruse, Chief Product Officer at Blueair. We start with the consumer in mind. The Blue Pure 411 was designed for a younger, urban, target group, millennials, who do not wish to compromise on quality, eco-friendliness and cool design features.”

Blue Pure 411 was launched in 2017 and is the most recent addition to the Blueair family of high-performing, energy efficient air purifiers. It uses Blueair’s unique HEPASilent™ filtration technology which removes virtually every airborne particle such as dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, allergens, viruses and bacteria. Thanks to an active carbon filter, the Blue Pure 411 also removes odors. It comes in five colors: Blue, Dark Shadow, Crystal Pink, Buffer Yellow and Lunar Rock.

The winners of the 2018 Housewares Design Awards were presented during a ceremony at the Las Vegas Market. Eleven “Best in Category” and three “Best of the Best” winners were presented from a list of 55 finalists. Best of the Best “Gold” went to Blueair for the Blue Pure 411 air cleaner; “Silver” went to Philips Lighting for the SceneSwitch LED light bulb; and “Bronze” went to Braun for the MultiQuick 9 Hand Blender.

The winning products were selected by an independent panel of design and merchandising experts who conducted hands-on testing of hundreds of products in 11 categories. Criteria included: appropriate aesthetics; innovative materials and technology; user benefits (i.e., performance, comfort, ease of use, safety); and marketability in making their determination. The 2018 Housewares Design Awards Celebration was presented by HomeWorld Business, hosted by Las Vegas Market and sponsored by Whitford Corporation.
